Crafted With Purpose
At McLeod Creek Timber Frame Company, sustainability is the foundation of everything we do—from responsibly sourcing our timbers to minimizing waste through recycling and reusing by-products. We are dedicated to environmentally conscious building practices. Specializing in hand-crafted heavy timber frame homes and structures, we use traditional mortise and tenon joinery to create timeless, durable, and energy-efficient spaces that enhance comfort and lifestyle. Our commitment ensures that every home we build is not only beautiful and enduring but also a healthier, more sustainable choice for the planet.

Founded in 2014, McLeod Creek Timber Frame Company blends the rich heritage of Alberta’s countryside with the art of hand-crafted timber framing, using traditional mortise and tenon joinery. Under Bruce’s leadership, the company is dedicated to creating timeless, beautifully crafted homes that enhance the lives of their owners, while prioritizing health, comfort, and durability. With a strong commitment to both local and global communities, McLeod Creek ensures exceptional energy efficiency and environmental stewardship in every project they undertake.

Bruce’s journey into timber framing began on a family farm in Alberta, where he developed a love for hands-on work and the outdoors. After earning a degree in history and anthropology, Bruce spent three years in southern Japan, where he discovered his passion for timber framing through the country’s traditional craftsmanship. Returning to Alberta, he honed his skills on large construction projects before founding McLeod Creek Timber Frame Company, where he now brings his expertise and love for timber framing to the prairies.
